The Arctic Chess Challenge took place in Tromso 31st July - 8th August 2010. Loek van Wely, Alexander Moiseenko, Mikhail Kobalia, Bartosz Socko, Sandipan Chanda, Igor Khenkin, Yuri Drozdovskij etc
Mikhail Kobalia beat Loek van Wely in the final round to edge out Manuel Leon Hoyos on tie-break after both finished on 7.5/9.
