Yaroslav Zherebukh wins Cappelle-La-Grande 2010

A sixteen year old Ukrainian, Yaroslav Zherebukh, has won one of the biggest Open tournaments of the year at Cappelle-La-Grande.

A sixteen year old Ukrainian, Yaroslav Zherebukh, has won one of the biggest Open tournaments of the year at Cappelle-La-Grande. The youngster finished on 7.5/9 after defeating Mikhail Gurevich, a former world number three, in the penultimate round. The winner's performance was all the more remarkable as he was crushed in round three by another young player in the third round.

Sometimes the Ruy Lopez looks like a forced win.
